Tasting Notes

This Chardonnay shows big aromatics on the nose, with notes of passionfruit, pear, Gravenstein apple and petrichor (wet stone). The palate is fresh and rich with flavors of Bartlett pear, crushed white rose, and the slightly acidic creaminess of a Meyer lemon tart. Overall, this crisp, aromatic wine is lively yet weighty, and a perfect food pairing partner.

Production Notes

Grapes were hand-sorted and whole clusters were gently pressed into French oak barrels. The wine was barrel-fermented with native yeasts and underwent 100% native malolactic fermentation. It was aged sur lie in barrel for 15 months with frequent battonage (hand stirring) through primary fermentation.
